Hayley-Jo Carr
Hayley-Jo Carr, an International Ecosystem Restoration Consultant and PADI Course Director, has over 15 years of experience in global tourism and marine conservation. With a BA (hons) in Sport & Recreation Studies with Community Studies and an MSc in Biodiversity, Wildlife, and Ecosystem Health, she focuses on coral restoration tourism, emphasizing its environmental and societal benefits. Hayley excels in community engagement, stakeholder partnerships, education, and capacity building, with a passion for increasing ocean literacy. Leading the Reef Rescue Network (RRN) in The Bahamas and wider Caribbean, she works to expand coral restoration efforts, particularly through tourist engagement. As a PADI Course Director, Hayley trains scuba diving Instructors in marine conservation-focused specialty courses, including the PADI Reef Rescue Diver course, which she authored to involve recreational divers in coral restoration activities.
