Hailey Springer
This is Hailey Springer, she is an undergraduate at the University of California, Santa Barbara studying Aquatic Biology. She got her open water certification in 2018 after being inspired by photos taken by Becky Kagan Schott in Scuba Diving Magazine. She attended the Boston Sea Rovers convention for 3 years before applying to be the 2022 Boston Sea Rovers summer intern. Through this internship she gained invaluable experience, along with her advanced and drysuit training. Upon returning to her sophomore year of college, she completed her scientific dive training, landing the job as the student assistant to the DSO for the remainder of college. Through this position she has honed her skills in gear inspection and management. She has used her scientific dive training to collect data for the Santa Barbara Long Term Ecological Research Lab. She is currently in her last year of college, just completed her divemaster training, and is busy as the President of the UCSB Scuba Club.
