Colin Morgan
From the time he was a baby Colin has always been infatuated with the water whether it was splashing in a pool or snorkeling with whale sharks in Mexico at the age of 4. He took his first breaths on scuba at the age of 8 and earned his PADI Jr. Open Water Diver certification shortly after his 11th birthday. Colin continued to dive regularly with his family while also competing as a swimmer and playing water polo. He was a member of a Junior Olympic Silver Medalist team and two-time champion high school team.
Colin continued to pursue his diving education and completed his PADI Advanced Open Water and PADI Rescue certifications. He had always liked diving but fell in love with the sport while interning at Pura Vida Divers in Riviera Beach, Florida. It was during his internship he learned several aspects of the scuba business and developed a deep understanding of the importance of customer service.
While enrolled at Nova Southeastern University in Florida Colin earned his PADI Divemaster and the following year interned as a production assistant at PADI Worldwide in California. It was during this internship that Colin discovered his love of ocean conservation and media production could be combined. He is now a junior at the University of Arizona majoring in broadcast journalism and currently is the social media manager for the University of Arizona’s student run television station UATV-3. This summer Colin attained his PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor rating and spent the summer helping divers explore the underwater world in Florida. He intends to continue teaching diving while working toward a career in media production with an emphasis in ocean conservation.
