Christy McFerren
Christy is the CEO of Gladwater Creative, a start-up marketing shop focused on helping small businesses thrive — especially those focused on helping people get out on the water and have fun.
With over 20 years of marketing experience, Christy has been President of Catalyst Marketing in Austin, TX since 2019. Catalyst is a full-service marketing agency specializing in the student housing, multifamily, and senior living industries. During her time at Catalyst, the agency has seen a 10x growth in revenue and been recognized for its marketing effectiveness by industry wins from The Communicator Awards, the MarCom Awards, the W3 Awards, IAC, and more.
In addition to serving as the head of Catalyst, Christy is on the Executive Leadership Team of Campus Advantage, a student housing owner and operator, and a National Board member for Entryway, a non-profit that sources talent from underserved demographics and offers training and workforce solutions for the real estate industry.
Her single focus from all perspectives is on driving value for her clients through innovative, results-oriented marketing. With a strong belief in the power of redemptive marketing strategies that meet real human needs, Christy is a creative thinker and people-first leader whose endeavors are unified by one mission: to create and promote brands that foster community and add value to people’s lives.
Outside the office, Christy is a PADI Divemaster and an American Sailing certified sailor, and she looks for any reason at all to be on or under the water, whether in her beloved Lake Travis or in beautiful blue water destinations. A wife, mother, and dog-mom, she also loves being home and relaxing with her family.
Christy attended the Art Institute of Dallas and also holds an MBA in Finance and Economics from Regent University.
