To ensure a seamless experience at DEMA Show, all participants must submit credentials. Review the specific categories below to determine which badge you qualify for and the corresponding documentation required. Visit our FAQs page for answers to additional registration questions.

REMINDERS

  • DEMA Show is a trade-only event exclusively for qualified dive, travel, and action water sports professionals.
  • A valid photo ID is required for badge pickup, no exceptions.
  • All participants must submit credentials to participate in DEMA Show.

Credentials Required to Obtain Badges

To collect your badge at DEMA Show, all credentials must be submitted to and approved by DEMA Show. Credentials can be uploaded during the registration process, by logging back into the registration dashboard after registering, or by sending them directly to DEMA (see below)We strongly recommend uploading credentials during online registration to prevent onsite delays or the risk being denied entry upon arrival.

Registration Categories/Badge Types

Attendee: Dive Retail Buyer

A Dive Retail Buyer is an owner or employee of a professional retail dive center who is responsible for making purchasing decisions related to dive equipment for resale to consumers. To obtain Dive Retail Buyer credentials, individuals must submit the following:

Required Credentials (2 Documents)

  1. Wholesale Invoice - must adhere to the following:

    • Invoice(s) must be from a diving equipment manufacturer 

    • Must be dated within the last 24 months
    • Total must be at least $1,000 (may submit multiple invoices to total $1,000)
    • Must be billed to the business under which the attendee is registering (quantities and individual product dollars may be masked for privacy, but the total purchase amount must remain visible).
       
  2. And ONE of the following:

    • Taxpayer Identification Number for the business

    • Business license in the name of the business
    • International Identification: Business registry information used in the country of origin OR documentation that permits buying in the U.S.

Badge Allotment

Businesses are allotted three (3) buyer badges at regular Show prices. Each buyer badge over the allotment will be assessed with a $30 fee in addition to published registration fees.

Attendee: Dive Travel Buyer

A Dive Travel Buyer is an owner or employee of a professional retail dive center or dive travel center, such as a dive resort, dive travel agency, or tour operator, who is responsible for making travel arrangements and purchasing travel-related services for divers. To obtain Dive Travel Buyer credentials, individuals must submit the following:

Required Credentials (2 Documents)

  1. Wholesale Invoice - must adhere to the following:

    • Invoice(s) must be from a dive travel provider 

    • Must be dated within the last 24 months
    • Total must be at least $1,000 (may submit multiple invoices to total $1,000)
    • Must be billed to the business under which the attendee is registering (quantities and individual product dollars may be masked for privacy, but the total purchase amount must remain visible).
       
  2. And ONE of the following:

    • Taxpayer Identification Number for the business

    • Business license in the name of the business
    • International Identification: Business registry information used in the country of origin OR documentation that permits buying in the U.S.

Badge Allotment

Attendee: Influencer (Instructor/Assistant Instructor/Divemaster/Con)

An Influencer is an individual certified as a professional Dive Instructor, Assistant Instructor, Divemaster, or Dive Controller and issued a certification card as such from a professional scuba diving training association. These professionals are referred to as influencers as they have a strong influence on the consumer diver’s buying choices. 
 

Required Credentials (1 Document)

  1. Training Agency-Issued Certification Card - must include your full name and the level of professional certification achieved

Attendee: International Distributor

An International Distributor is a business engaged in the wholesale distribution of diving equipment either directly or through authorized representation in international markets. These distributors procure diving equipment from manufacturers or primary distributors and then supply it to professional retail dive centers and other businesses involved in the sale of diving gear outside their country of origin.
 

Required Credentials (2 Documents)

  1. Wholesale Invoice - must adhere to the following:

    • Invoice(s) must be from a diving equipment manufacturer 

    • Must be dated within the last 24 months
    • Total must be at least $1,000 (may submit multiple invoices to total $1,000)
    • Must be billed to the business under which the attendee is registering (quantities and individual product dollars may be masked for privacy, but the total purchase amount must remain visible).
       
  2. And ONE of the following:

    • Taxpayer Identification Number for the business

    • Business license in the name of the business
    • International Identification: Business registry information used in the country of origin OR documentation that permits buying in the U.S.

Badge Allotment

Attendee: Manufacturing Representative

An Attendee Manufacturing Representative is an individual or business authorized (through employment or contract) by a scuba diving equipment manufacturer or distributor to sell, market, and collect orders on behalf of the manufacturer or distributor.
 

Required Credentials (2 Documents)

  1. Valid Business Card - must include the business name under which you are registering, your full name, and your business/job title
     

  2. And ONE of the following:

    • Taxpayer Identification Number for the business

    • Business license in the name of the business
    • International Identification: Business registry information used in the country of origin OR documentation that permits buying in the U.S.
    • Paycheck stub dated within 180 days of DEMA Show 2024 (must show your name and the company name)

Attendee: Non-Exhibiting Supplier

A Non-Exhibiting Supplier is a company that derives most of its income from supplying dive equipment and accessories to professional retail dive centers/destinations but is NOT exhibiting at DEMA Show 2024.
 

Required Credentials (2 Documents)

  1. Valid Business Card - must include the business name under which you are registering, your full name, and your business/job title
     

  2. And ONE of the following:

    • Taxpayer Identification Number for the business

    • Business license in the name of the business
    • International Identification: Business registry information used in the country of origin OR documentation that permits buying in the U.S.
    • Paycheck stub dated within 180 days of DEMA Show 2024 (must show your name and the company name)

Attendee: Other Industry Professional

Other Industry Professionals are those whose primary income is derived from working in the professional scuba diving industry in one of the following roles:

  • Boat/Live Aboard Operator

  • Commercial Diver
  • Dive Photographer/Videographer
  • Dive-Related Government or Military
  • Dive Resort Operator
  • Dive Instructor Training Organization
  • Educational Institution
  • Environmental Organization
  • Non-Profit Organization
  • Other Retailer
  • Public Safety/Rescue Diver
  • Show Organizer
     

Required Credentials (2 Documents)

  1. Valid Business Card - must include the business name under which you are registering, your full name, and your business/job title
     

  2. And ONE of the following:

    NOTE: in place of the documents below, Government dive teams may provide a business card or official government ID and job confirmation from their Chief or Commanding Officer on official letterhead.
     
    • Taxpayer Identification Number for the business

    • Business license in the name of the business
    • International Identification: Business registry information used in the country of origin OR documentation that permits buying in the U.S.
    • Paycheck stub dated within 180 days of DEMA Show 2024 (must show your name and the company name)

Attendee: Retail Dive Center Staff

Retail Dive Center Staff are employees of professional retail dive centers.

Note: If you represent a Retail Dive Center and are planning to purchase or make purchasing decisions at DEMA Show and have the required credentials, please register as a Dive Retail Buyer.
 

Required Credentials (2 Documents)

  1. Valid Business Card - must include the business name under which you are registering, your full name, and your business/job title

  2. And ONE of the following:

    • Taxpayer Identification Number for the business

    • Business license in the name of the business
    • International Identification: Business registry information used in the country of origin OR documentation that permits buying in the U.S.
    • Paycheck stub dated within 180 days of DEMA Show 2024 (must show your name and the company name)

Attendee: Travel Agent / Travel Professional

A Travel Agent/Travel Professional is an individual or business specializing in selling, organizing, and facilitating dive-related travel arrangements.

Note: If you are a Travel Agent/Travel Professional planning to purchase or make purchasing decisions at DEMA Show and have the required credentials, please register as a Dive Travel Buyer.

Required Credentials (2 Documents)

  1. Submit ONE of the following:

    • Travel Association-issued Certification Card indicating one of the following: CTA, CTC, CTIE, ACC, MCC, ECC, ECCS, or LCS

    • Travel Organization Affiliation Card showing one of the following affiliations: ARC, IATA/N TSI, CLIA, or TRUE/Travel Sellers
       

  2. And ONE of the following:

    • Taxpayer Identification Number for the business

    • Business license in the name of the business
    • International Identification: Business registry information used in the country of origin OR documentation that permits buying in the U.S.

Exhibitor: Booth Staff, Booth Staff Retail Buyer, Booth Staff Travel Buyer, or Booth Staff Manufacturing Representative

An Exhibitor is an individual working in a DEMA Show Exhibitor’s booth. If the individual is also planning to buy diving equipment, accessories, or dive travel, they can choose to be designated as an Exhibitor Retail Buyer or Exhibitor Travel Buyer by providing proper credentials.

A Manufacturing Representative working in an Exhibitor’s booth can be assigned an exhibitor badge by the employing exhibitor. If not assigned, the representative must register using attendee registration under the Other Industry Professional category.

Media: Publishers, Editors, Writers, and Print or Broadcast Reporters

Individuals actively covering DEMA Show for an established media outlet may be considered for complimentary registration for DEMA Show by submitting proper credentials and work examples. If not covering DEMA Show, these individuals should utilize attendee registration under the Other Industry Professional category.

NOTE: Complimentary media registration is available to publishers, editors, writers and print or broadcast reporters at the discretion of DEMA. Review the policies below for more information and requirements for obtaining DEMA Show media/press badges.
 

Media Policies at DEMA Show 2024

  • Media must provide valid credentials for admittance.
  • Only qualified media receive a complimentary badge, granting access to the show floor, education sessions, and the onsite media room.
  • Media badges exclude admission to Special Events.
  • DEMA Show Management reserves the right to deny credentials for misuse or false pretenses.
  • Failure to report on DEMA Show may result in future media badge denials.

Required Credentials

  • Media must submit proof of assignment during registration or separately to media@demashow.com. Accepted credentials include:

    • Letter of assignment from the Editor
    • Proof of past DEMA Show coverage (within the last two years)
    • By-lined publications or credited work published or broadcasted (within the last 24 months)

Post-Show Requirement

  • Approved Media must provide proof of coverage of DEMA Show 2024 within three (3) months following the close of the Show. Email proof to media@demashow.com

Registration and Badge Pickup

  • Advertising representatives must register as attendees through www.demashow.com or onsite.
  • Approved Media Badges can be picked up onsite from express registration.
  • Onsite registration for media is available at the Media Office.
  • A valid photo ID is required for badge pickup.

Filming and Broadcasting

  • Filming or broadcasting from the show floor requires express written permission from DEMA Show management.

Responsibilities

  • Media representatives are responsible for coordinating their own transportation and covering associated expenses.

Badge Pick-Up Notice

Once your credentials and/or payment have been received and approved, you will receive a BADGE PICK-UP NOTICE via e-mail that will include a distinct barcode. To save time, have this (and you photo ID) handy when you arrive onsite to pick up your badge.

Credentials may be uploaded through the registration website during the registration process. You may also log back into your dashboard after registering and upload them.

Upload Requirements: 

  • Only PDF, JPG, or BMP files will be accepted
  • Max size per document: 1 MB
  • Each document must have a unique file name
